Cybersocket Awards to Return With Revamped Ceremony

LOS ANGELES — Following a change in ownership and a pandemic delay, the Cybersocket Awards, presented by Streamate, will return to an in-person ceremony at Heart nightclub in West Hollywood on Tuesday, May 24.

The ceremony was created by original Cybersocket founders Morgan Sommer and the late Tim Lutz in 2000; the company itself was acquired by NSFW.army in July 2021 and marked its 25th anniversary last month.

The pre-nominations period kicked off earlier this week.

"Bigger and better than ever, the Cybersocket Awards are set to include special appearances, performances and revamped categories," a rep enthused. "Fan-driven nominations will [continue] for one month, giving stars time to engage their fans and for fans to rally around their favorite adult personalities and LGBTQ-minded companies for this year’s prestigious awards."

"This year’s nomination categories include the always-popular 'Top Cock,' 'Epic Ass,' 'Power Verse of the Year,' 'Movie of the Year' and 'Performer of the Year,' along with some new additions," continued the rep, "such as 'Pup of the Year,' 'Go-Go Boy of the Year', 'Gay Sex Podcast of the Year' and more."

Business award categories include "Best Paysite," "Fansite of the Year," "Best Toy Brand," "Gay Bar of the Year," "Studio of the Year" and "Gay Resort of the Year."

"This notorious evening has been the peak of celebrating the personalities and businesses of the gay adult industry with all-star attendance, power player sponsors and plenty of media coverage," noted the rep. "Now under the ownership of NSFW.army, best known for CherryPimps, WildonCam, ViralPorn, Fleshbot, and others, this revamped 21st award show will pay homage to Cybersocket’s history while adding some flair and advanced tech to the proceedings."
